In June, 2019 I visited the Vince Shute Wildlife Sanctuary near Orr, Minnesota. This is primarily a black bear sanctuary managed by the American Bear Association.
The black bears roam the 500 acres of the sanctuary. The bears are given food but they are wild and free to leave. We saw 20-30 bears each day up close most of the time. There were several mothers with cubs, one with triplets, two with two cubs and several with one cub.
A fun place to see, experience and photograph black bears in their own environment.
