In September 2016 I attended a Paul Renner Photo Safari to South Africa. We visited four lodges located around the Kruger National Park. These lodges were private preserves which meant there was much less safari vehicle traffic plus we could drive off road to get up close to the animals.
We visited 2 lodges in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve, Cheetah Plains and Notten's Bush Camp.
In the Thornybush Game Reserve we visited the Waterside Lodge. In the Madikwe Game Preserve we visited the Impodimo Game Lodge. We had a great experience at all four lodges. We saw a wide variety of wildlife. Some of the highlights were seeing and watching the elephants at the watering holes, seeing multiple lion prides with cubs. One pride had 8 cubs. My favorite part of the trip was seeing 11 leopards some multiple times and in a variety of activities.
Paul Renner runs well organized trips. He is very knowledgeable and knows what areas are the best to visit.
