In December 2022 I went on a photography tour with Visionary Wild to the Falkland Islands. There were 4 photographers in the group plus our guide Chris Linder. Chris is very knowledgeable and did a great job of getting us to the best locations at the best times for amazing photos.

We visited 4 small islands plus the main East Falkland Island. Each island offered a different experience. The islands were Sea Lion, Bleaker, Pebble and Saunders. We saw 5 species of penguins Gentoo, Rock Hopper, Magellanic, King and a few Macaroni. There are 1,000,000 penguins on the Falkland Islands. We had so much fun not only taking photos but just sitting and watching all the wildlife interactions. The wildlife are really not afraid of us so we could be up close and personal.

Besides the penguins we saw a nice variety of other wildlife and birds. There were large colonies of Imperial Cormorants and Black-browed Albatross. We watched fighting Elephant Seals on the beach.
