In April, 2019 I attended the Chas Glatzer Shoot The Light Tech Series at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm. It was a fun and educational course. We covered metering, visual design, flash and post production using Lightroom. The Alligator Farm was a great place to practice the skills learned in the course. There are over 500 alligators and crocodiles at the farm. The farm is a nesting location for a great variety of birds from Roseate Spoonbills, Egrets to Wood Storks.
One of the main visual design goals was to concentrate on the entire image especially the background. The first six images in the gallery highlight how a background can really take an image from being just good to special.
